| A Do-It-Yourself-er! As a child, I loved to draw pictures and watch cartoons on television. Some of my fondest memories are watching Looney Toons with my dad and brothers on Saturday mornings. While other kids read books about famous athletes and celebrities, I read about Walt Disney, Charles Schulz, Norman Rockwell, and other artists. I continued drawing casually into adulthood, but did not pursue art as a profession. In 2003, my passion for art was rekindled. I decided to pick up the pencil and retool my natural drawing skills. Over the next three years, I practiced cartooning and illustration. Along the way, I picked up skills in ink and wash. Further inspiration and guidance came from joining the SUNCOAST INKSLINGERS cartoonist group in 2006. Currently, I draw single and multi-panel gag cartoons for publication. |
